FBOs or Fixed Base Operators are companies that operate mostly within an airport, to provide comfortable and smooth boarding and landing experiences (act as luxury lounges).
They may also be referred to as Fuel Based Operators if they provide fuel services as well.

They direct private flights—both private jets and charter flights—to the most ideal landing sites and also provide other facilities for aircraft maintenance, hangaring, refueling, and for the crew members. Signature Flight Support is an example.
